To Have And Not To Hold Book Launch!

To Have And Not to Hold is officially launched!! Yesterday was a gorgeous day in Southern California and we were happy to be spending it at the beautiful home of Kiki and David Gindler. The Gindlers graciously offered to host a brunch to launch the book, and they did it in style! We began with great conversation over delicious food. What interesting and supportive guests!! After getting to know each other in the picture-perfect Gindler back yard, we moved to the living room for the program.

After a brief intro by Kiki, I read a short excerpt about Katie's birth. I never expected to start crying as I closed out the reading!! I guess the emotions still run deep! Kiki then got things started with a few well-thought out questions, and then the group joined in with comments and questions of their own. Even though there were very few guests personally touched by adoption, everyone seemed so touched by the story, and so captivated by the topic.

We closed with dessert and signing, and the books flew off the table! We sold out, as people bought books for themselves, as well as as gifts for friends and family. They all promised to write reviews, and post/share book information- I couldn't ask for a more supportive crowd! All in all, it was a wonderful day for a book launch - many MANY thanks to Kiki and David Gindler!!
